Annual Report 2025

2025 was marked by continued preparations for the Cnap's future site in Pantin. The institution's teams worked on advancing the architectural project, preparing the operations required ahead of the move, and reflecting on the new opportunities this future facility will offer for the Cnap's missions.

Against this backdrop, the institution maintained a high level of activity in support of contemporary creation. The Cnap acquired 205 works by living artists, 80% of which were created by artists from the French art scene, and continued its commitment to public commissions through several programmes in the fields of photography, printmaking and design. Supporting artists and visual arts professionals also remained a priority, with 300 beneficiaries receiving assistance through the Cnap's various funding and support schemes.

Efforts to share the national collection with the widest possible audience also continued at a sustained pace. In 2025, the Cnap lent 905 works to 142 exhibition venues and made 521 new long-term deposits. Inventory and verification operations also mobilised the teams, with 3,459 works checked across 193 venues in France and abroad.

The year was also marked by numerous collaborative projects carried out throughout France. The Biens venus! exhibition programme, organised in partnership with the Centre des monuments nationaux, welcomed more than 950,000 visitors, while the Messages / Images graphic commission continued its tour across numerous venues. The Artothèques en ruralités programme also supported 50 projects, helping to strengthen access to contemporary art in communities across the country.

These achievements reflect the commitment of the Cnap's teams, artists, visual arts professionals and partners, whose daily work brings the institution's missions to life in support of artistic creation and its dissemination to the widest possible audiences.
