Didier Gourvennec Ogor

Fondateur de la galerie Gourvennec Ogor à Marseille, après des études de Droit puis à l’École du Louvre, Didier Gourvennec Ogor a travaillé pour la galerie Roger Pailhas à Marseille, alors plus importante galerie française hors Paris jusqu’en 2005, puis pour les galeries Yvon Lambert et Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois à Paris. Didier Gourvennec Ogor a ainsi pu collaborer en France et à l’international à de nombreux projets artistiques et expositions avec des artistes comme Carl Andre, Miquel Barcelo, Nan Goldin, Jenny Holzer, Anselm Kiefer, Bertrand Lavier, Louise Lawler, Andrès Serrano, Joep Van Lieshout, Jacques Villeglé ou encore  Lawrence Weiner. 

Depuis son ouverture, la galerie Gourvennec Ogor a présenté les travaux de plus d’une centaine d’artistes de plus de 25 nationalités différentes, dont Emmanuelle Antille, Robert Barry, Christian Boltanski, Mircea Cantor, Claude Lévêque, Nøne Futbol Club, Gina Pane, Philippe Ramette ou encore Juliao Sarmento.

Président de MarseilleExpos, réseau des lieux d’art contemporain à Marseille pendant l’année Capitale Européenne de la Culture en 2013, il a également été jury pour l’international Emerging Artist Award Dubaï (2013), le prix Canson Art School (2014), le Prix Marathon Photographique d’Euroméditerranée (2014) ou encore la Biennale des Jeunes Créateurs d’Europe et de la Méditerranée (2015). Fondateur du Prix ESADMM en 2011, il a par ailleurs participé à des conférences à la Semaine Économique de la Méditerranée, au Frac PACA, aux Sessions Professionnelles de Marsatac, à la maison de ventes Leclère ou encore à l’École des Beaux-Arts de Marseille. 

Didier Gourvennec Ogor a notament assuré le co-commissariat de l'exposition sur l'architecture au Pavillon de l'Arsenal à Paris (Artistes et Architecture - Dimensions Variables - 15 oct 2015 / 17 janvier 2016) avec des artistes comme Daniel Buren, Dan Graham, Anish Kapoor, Richard Serra ou encore Lawrence Weiner.

Founder of the Galerie Gourvennec Ogor in Marseille, after his studies in Law, he went on to the Ecole du Louvre, Didier Gourvennec Ogor worked for the Roger Pailhas Gallery in Marseille, the most important French gallery outside Paris, until 2005, and then for the Galleries Yvon Lambert and Georges Phillipe & Nathalie Vallois in Paris. Didier Gourvennec Ogor was also able to collaborate in France and internationally in many artistic projects and exhibitions with artists from Carl Andre, Miquel Barcelo, Nan Goldin, Jenny Holzer, Anselm Kiefer, Bertrand Lavier, Louise Lawler, Andres Serrano, Joep Van Lieshout, and Jacques Villeglé to Lawrence Weiner.

Since it’s opening, Galerie Gourvennec Ogor has presented work from more than 100 artists of more than 25 different nationalities, including Emmanuelle Antille, Robert Barry, Christian Boltanski, Mircea Cantor, Claude Léveque, None Futbol Club, Gina Pane, Philippe Ramette, Juliao Sarmento, Mara Fortunatović and Timothée Talard.

President of Marseille Expos, a network of contemporary art spaces in Marseille, during the city’s year as European Capital of Culture Year in 2013, he was also juror for the Canson Art School Prize (2014), the International Emerging Artist Award Dubai (2013), the Biennale of Young Creators of Europe and the Mediterranean (2015), Voeux d’artistes and furthermore the Marathon Photography Prize of the Euro-Mediterranean.

Founder of the ESADMM prize (École Supérieure d’Art et de Design de Marseille méditerranée) in 2011, he was also co-curator of a notable exhibition on architecture at the Pavillon de L’Arsenal in Paris (Artistes et Architecture – Dimensions Variables 15 oct 2015 / 17 janv 2016) which reunited the works of more than 60 artists including Daniel Buren, Carlos Garaisoa, Dan Graham, Anish Kapoor and Richard Serra. This exhibition was the subject of a reference book of nearly 600 pages taking the work of 264 artists and the 13 international texts from authors who include Pedro Gadanho, Custodian of the Contemporary Architecture Section of MOMA in New York, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Co-director of the Serpentine Gallery in London, and Hou Hanru, director of MAXXI in Rome.
