Facing Gold, a series of paintings as well as exhibition title, expresses–in the face of all dilemma–a resolute turning towards the truth, the bright side of our human qualities, the shining potential and radiant possibilities. With their art, Mwangi Hutter repeatedly acknowledge the single most essential expression of truth: Love appears to be the openly secret answer and, once unflinchingly put into practice, the cure for all imbalances in this world.
