The Border is a State of Mind

The Border is a State of Mind est un projet collectif qui s’ articule autour de la notion de frontière territoriale et des portées symboliques qu’elle contient aujourd’hui, dans un contexte mondial de montée des nationalismes, du «  retour des murs  » et des nouveaux conflits géopolitiques.

La Galerie Jérôme Poggi a invité le curateur Sasha Pevak à concevoir une exposition se déployant en deux temps. Le premier volet du projet sera présenté à la galerie. La seconde partie de l’ exposition aura lieu à l’ occasion de la 45e édition de la FIAC, sur le stand 1.H11 dans le secteur Ouest des Galeries Supérieures du Grand Palais.


Ce projet a été réalisé avec la complicité de Kyveli Mavrokordopoulou, chercheuse à l’EHESS. Jérôme Poggi remercie la Galerie Juana de Aizpuru pour sa collaboration autour de l’oeuvre d’Eric Baudelaire.

The Border is a State of Mind is a group show articulated around the notion of territorial frontier and the symbolic meanings it conveys today, in a context of rise of nationalisms, return of the “walls” and new geopolitical conflicts.

The Jérôme Poggi gallery has invited the curator Sasha Pevak to realize an exhibition that deploys in two phases. The first part of the project will be on display at the gallery. The second part of the show will be presented on the occasion of the 45th edition of FIAC, booth 1.H11 in the west wing of the Galeries Supérieures of the Grand Palais.
